Ready for more great golf in Roanoke?
The Scott Robertson Memorial Committee is excited about hosting hundreds of golfers from around the world in May at Roanoke Country Club for the 34th Annual Scott Robertson Memorial Junior Golf Tournament.  Once again, our field will include some of the nation’s top junior golfers, including an impressive international contingency.  At this point, the field is travelling from 23 states and 17 countries, including Thailand, New Zealand and the Czech Republic.   We invite you to join us May 19-21 as tournament play begins. Please be sure to come out and see these young women and men and witness firsthand the competitiveness, sportsmanship, honesty, and maturity exhibited by the players–traits we strive to instill in our community youth through First Tee program. We are once again asking for your help in producing another wonderful tournament.  As you know, proceeds from the tournament support programming at First Tee – Roanoke Valley, our nationally recognized chapter of First Tee here in the Roanoke region.  This year, we ask that gifts be sent to the Junior Golf Foundation of Virginia, established in 2014, to provide operating support to the Scott Robertson Memorial Junior Golf Tournament, First Tee – Roanoke Valley, The Roanoke Valley Junior Golf Tour, as well as other junior golf initiatives impacting children in Western Virginia.  We hope that you will continue to give generously. May we count on you for your support? As with past donations to the Scott Robertson Memorial, your donation to the Junior Golf Foundation of Virginia will be recognized at the Scott Robertson Memorial Tournament in May.  Your commitment helps the Junior Golf Foundation of Virginia and its programs impart golf’s valuable life lessons to more children. We will publish the list of donors:  Brassie ($5,000), Mashie ($2500), Jigger ($1,000), Niblick ($500), and Cleek ($250) and in tournament material.   Please send your 2017 tax deductible contribution before May 1st  so we can include your name in tournament program and other signage.  Thank you for your past generosity and consideration; we are grateful for your continued support.
